|The Teen Leadership program is an incredible opportunity for teens to learn about personal responsibility, citizenship, and leadership. Each group will participate in a facilitated morning discussion focused on the session’s themes. Teens will also learn about the Paradise Farm Camps community and will assist in the planning, preparation, and production of our end of session camp-wide activity. The Teen Leadership program continues it’s partnership with West Chester University to provide an adventure-based Experiential Education program. Each week, the teens are instructed by WCU professors and instructors in leadership qualities and teambuilding in a fun and adventurous environment. Lessons may be held either at camp or at the West Chester University Ropes Course.
Camp Session Fee – $425*
*To be eligible for our reduced rates, your family’s registration must be completed and all fees paid in full by April 28. Any session registrations accepted after that date will be processed at the rate $450 for Teen Program.
Counselor-in-Training opportunities are available to teenagers 16-17 years old at Paradise Farm Camps. Most of our CIT’s have participated in both our Day Camp and our Teen Leadership programs and have learned the ins and outs of camp. Building on their knowledge, our CIT program helps these teenagers learn the basics of behavior management, activity planning and time management.
Our CIT program is a non-paid position, and each CIT selected volunteers an average of four sessions throughout the summer.
To apply to become a CIT, please contact our Program Director Leah Colley. This opportunity is highly competitive and positions are extremely limited.
Throughout the summer teens are given the opportunity to apply lessons learned throughout the week, as they engage in interactive field trips. Each field trip has been chosen to either develop, strengthen or challenge each teen in the areas of personal accountability, problem solving, critical thinking, personal responsibility, citizenship, self worth and creativity.
The Teen Leadership Program prides itself on giving back, therefore service projects have continuously played a pivotal role within the Teen Leadership Program. Through onsite service projects, teens begin the process of learning how to make true positive change and become stewards not only at camp, but within their households & communities.
